Personal Projects

In this section, I showcase various projects I’ve done throughout the years that might have been for fun, for practice, or just might not have enough significance to have it’s own section. Nonetheless, I hope for this section to show some of my versatility whether in animation, video editing, or what have you.

Playing with Shapes

This was a short loop I created in After Effects where I essentially just messed around with simple shapes to make something fun!

Canna Champs Logo Animation

This was a simple logo animation I did for a freelance client. Logo design was provided but all animation was done by myself.

Intertrend College Hack

This project was actually part of an internship application for Intertrend, an advertising agency based in Long Beach, that I did during my time as an undergraduate student. For this part of the application, applicants were to make a short video demonstrating a college hack. We were given full creative freedom to showcase it.

I wanted to present my creativity by using some video editing effects to emulate Naruto’s shadow clones and in turn, have those clones help me study for an exam. I was told later on that this video is what got me the job!

Animated Manga Panel

This was a short 2.5D animation I did of a manga panel for a currently very popular anime. This was legitimately all for fun and was purely a result of me being so inspired by the outstanding plot of this manga. Unfortunately, I won’t reveal the name of the manga/anime to avoid spoiling this scene for potential fans of the series. In this edit, I actually found a screenprint of the manga panel and cropped sections/parts of the panel in Photoshop, then moved the individual parts to After Effects to make it appear 3D (even though it uses 2D assets).

Character Rigging Practice

These were some After Effects exercises I did for myself earlier in my career as a motion designer, where I designed characters using Adobe Illustrator and then proceeded to rig and animate them.
